My Massie Family Memories

In and Around Victoria, Virginia 1958 - 1974

( as recalled by Gerry Massie, grandson of Hume.W. and Lola P. Massie )

I was blessed to have spent 6 or 8 weeks every summer from about 1959 through about 1968  at my Grandparents on 6th St in Victoria, VA!

A 'city' boy from Fairfax, VA but the country was in my blood from my Father, John Massie, and his fathers and grandfathers.

I am quite proud to be an 11th generation Virginian.

I spent many days and hours in the orchard and down on the farm with my Grandfather, and up at Massie Furniture Store on Main Street with my Grandmother.

And of course some Sundays at Victoria Baptist and some Sundays going to the races with my Uncle Ed, < click for more on Edwin

Spending time with my first cousins, Karen, Rene, Monica and Eddie then and now are

absolute treasured memories on a grand and glorious scale.  -Gerry.
